There is an increasing number of people who may be in need of rental assistance due to a lack of or loss of income due to the Coronavirus pandemic. There is assistance available from Pinellas County and the City of St. Petersburg. The two governmental entities are collaborating to address the need in the community, and people are encouraged to apply for assistance online at the following link. https://covid19.pinellascounty.org/where-to-get-help/

Please note, no applications are accepted via telephone. However, for persons who may not have a computer or aren’t computer savvy, there are agencies throughout the community which is offering their assistance to help apply for the assistance (See the attached list).

For persons who may be facing eviction because of COVID-19, the Pinellas Eviction Diversion Program may be able to help. This program is administered by the three local legal aid agencies and can be contacted at the phone number on the attached flyer. I’ve also attached a copy of the program description that outlines the program, and who is eligible.

The CDC Eviction Moratorium expires July 31, 2021, and sharing this information with those who may need assistance either paying rent or avoiding eviction is vitally important.
