Mireya LoCicero was born in Cuba.  When she was an infant, her parents fled Cuba leaving everything behind to bring their family to live in the United States.  Coming from humble beginnings as a Cuban Refugee in the 1960’s, Mireya grew up witnessing her parent’s sacrifices, tireless efforts and drive to succeed.  She gained a great appreciation for helping others by experiencing the gratitude her parents continuously demonstrated for the assistance they received as immigrants. This was a powerful influence on the type of person Mireya would become.  Today, her quest is to find ways to pay forward the benefits her family received.

Mireya’s journey to her current role as a Community Mortgage Lender at Hancock Whitney Bank, is defined by her commitment to helping others.  She is bilingual, fluent in Spanish and an expert in Down Payment Assistance programs for First Time Home Buyers.  She began her career as a Realtor in the 80’s, has worked in the mortgage industry for over thirty years and closed hundreds of loans.  Her extensive knowledge of mortgage lending allows her to provide borrowers with expert guidance.  Mireya’s passion is to serve the underserved by making their dream her mission.  Being bilingual gives her the ability to assist multiple sectors of Buyers accomplish their goal of homeownership.  Mireya obtained her credentials from the State of Florida, many local counties and cities to provide an array of down payment assistance options to benefit her customers.

As a member of several local organizations Mireya takes an active role participating with her community and ensuring her customer’s needs are heard.  She works with non-profit organizations regularly, such as HEA, together they make a difference in the lives of others by helping create generational wealth through homeownership.  For Mireya, this is not work, it’s a way of life, and she feels privileged to serve.
